Morning Tea

A small tea shop opened up in San Jose and despite not really being a tea connoisseur, I went with a friend to check it out. They have a huge variety, and everything is in little jars that you can open up and see what the teas smell like. My friend decided to get a sampler of 4 teas and let me pick out one to try. I choose the Coconut Ginger Snap Green Tea because it seemed to be a nice balance of things...not too fruity and not overly floral.

After my first cup, I wasn't overly impressed, but I've been drinking it every weekend for the past 3 weekends and I'm sort of hopelessly addicted to it now. When we ran out yesterday morning, I made it my mission of the day to go get more. MUST REPLENISH TEA SUPPLY!

I jumped in the car and drove downtown only to get there and realize they didn't open until noon. I had an hour to kill. So I went to not one, but two different Old Navy stores looking for a particular t-shirt I'm quite enamored with (no luck at the first ON, slightly better luck at the second one).

I did manage to make it back to the tea shop and buy my tea. Had I not been in such a hurry I probably would have spent a little more time and picked out something else. Maybe next time. Though with the way we're both drinking this stuff (I've already had 2 cups this morning), I may be back for more sooner than I think.

If you are ever in downtown San Jose, Satori is a cute place to check out. They do have a tea bar so you can sit down and try some tea and have a scone or two. If you're not in the area, you can also order tea online.
