Despite being a bit under the weather (again!), I went on a cruise around the bay for a friend's birthday on Saturday. It was kind of awesome.
She bought tickets ahead of time for one of the Adventure Cat catamaran cruises. We all met at Pier 39, piled on the boat, and spent a glorious hour and a half out on the bay.
They took us out and around Alcatraz and then kept on going until we had gone under the Golden Gate. Then we turned around and came back. The sun was out, there were sailboats, windsurfers, kitesurfers, and even a couple of dolphins. We even got to see a giant Disney cruise ship leave the piers with a fireboat send off. Can you imagine a better way to spend the afternoon?
