7.18.01 (wednesday)

Yesterday was good. A and I took an extra long lunch and went to the museum for some inspiration and a break from sitting and staring at monitors. Admission is now FREE to the museum, so you have no excuse not to go! Unless of course you're not in San Jose.

So far, today has been good. I came to work to find the new Andalusia cd sitting on my chair. I haven't actually listened to it yet, but I've seen them live enough times to know that it will be absolutley lovely.

Today is also good because Miss Loobylu has returned, and she looks fabulous...welcome back!

7.17.01 (tuesday)

Happy Birthday Snake!

It's one of the monumental birthdays, but we won't say which one (he's trying to forget). We actually celebrated on Sunday. Mum made an excellent dinner, including what was supposed to be cherry chutney, but ended up "cherry abomination". It was still surprisingly good, despite the name. Mum also told us all a story about Snake's pants almost catching on fire one night at a Mexican restaurant. "They were literally smoking!"

7.16.01 (monday)

inevitable: chocolate ice cream in a sugar cone (post "Mists of Avalon" fun) + light colored khaki pants = ice cream dripping on said light colored pants.

You'd think I'd have enough sense to get mocha ice cream, at least the drip would have been a similar color to the pants.

7.15.01 (sunday)

On Saturday, I went to a BBQ and talked to people that I see once a year. I spent most of the afternoon answering the same questions over and over. I've decided that next year, I'm going to wear the following sign (or something similar, but you get the general idea):

I know, it's not very sociable. They're all very nice people, and I don't mind talking to them. But the fact the I have all this information readily available may force them to come up with something more creative to chat about.
