My old car...I adorned it with stickers. I didn't like the car much, so ruining the paint and having leftover sticker goo on the bumper (I did eventually remove SOME of them) didn't bother me. In anticipation of a new car, I had been collecting stickers, which I thought I would adhere to Viv, the Beetle. But she looks so sleek and pristine sans stickers, I just can't seem to do it.
Today, in the mail, I received the red robot sticker (along with my book order). And now I am seriously reconsidering my no sticker decision.

I can't stop listening to the Reindeer Section. I even burned a copy so I could keep one in the 6 disc changer in the car and still have a copy to listen to at work. Yes, it's that good.

So, I'm trying out Blogger. I've been updating this site manually for the past year and a half, so I thought I might try something to make my life a tad easier. I figure I'll start small, and eventually work my way up to using Moveable Type.

I love the idea of thrift stores and consignment stores...I firmly believe in the saying "one person's junk is another person's treasure". Yet I find that when I go thrift shopping for clothes (or anything else for that matter), I can never find anything I would deem treasurable...until this weekend.
I somehow managed to find a 100% cashmere cardigan for $25*. It's grey, and it actually fits. I'm hoping this will start a new trend in my thrift shopping excursions...if I can find one fantastic deal it makes the whole trip worth while.
*Just in case you're not familiar with cashmere, I'm providing a price reference point here. While my thrift store find may not have the Jcrew label, I still feel like I got an excellent deal.
